Bucs hire new coach

USC defensive line coach Jethro Franklin has accepted the Buc's offer to coach the . . . defensive line. Jethro has been in Southern Cal for only a season, but before that he coached Green Bay's defensive line for five years.

Since I was not able to find a picture of Franklin, I posted a picture of another well known and accomplished Jethro.

I think Coach Jethro Franklin will make a fine addition to our team. From what I am being told, the players are really excited about him, specially Ellis Wyms he was coached by Franklin in the 2001 Senior Bowl, when Franklin was with the Packers. He should be a great fit.

I don't know if you know it or not, but the Bucs are also talking with USC cornerbacks coach Greg Burns for a position as secondary coach with the Buccaneers. My people are saying he is the front runner right now.
